Modify Existing Reports from Reports Menu
|
|
||
| 1. | Find the report you want to modify in the Reports Menu. |
| 2. | In the dialog box that opens, click the New button next to the Report Template field. Note that you cannot click the Design button and modify a report directly. You must first follow these steps to create a copy of a standard report and later re-design the copy. |
| 3. | In the Report Folders dialog box, click the folder to which you want to add your modified report. Click OK. |
| 4. | If you have not yet created your own report categories, your only option will be Custom Reports. You can create your own categories from the Report Explorer; see the instructions below under Report Categories in Report Explorer. |
| 5. | In the Report Item [New] window, enter the name of your modified report. |

| 6. | You can select a Sub Menu from the drop-down list, but you may not yet have any options to choose from. You can create a sub menu on the fly by typing it into the sub menu field. This sub menu will now be available for the report category in which you created it. |
| 7. | If you want, you can add a Description. |
| 8. | If applicable, select a Communication Reference from the drop-down list. These are the Communication References you set up earlier in your General Lookup Tables. See Chapter 1: Setting Up EventPro, Step 4: General Lookup Tables. |
| 9. | Choose a Sort Order for this report. This will determine the order of the reports within the folder. |
| 10. | If you do not want this report to appear in the Reports Menu, check the Hidden box. You will still be able to access it from the Report Explorer. Note that if a category does not contain any reports (e.g. the Custom Reports category before you create any custom reports) it will not appear in the Reports Menu. Once you add visible (not hidden) reports to a category, the category will appear in the Reports Menu. |
| 11. | Click Save. |
| 12. | The EventPro Report Designer opens. To use the Report Designer, see the instructions below under Modify a Report in Report Designer. |
