Installing EPWeb as a Service

1.EPWeb can be installed as the “Standard Edition” (MS-Access) or the “Enterprise Edition” (MS-SQL). The installation for both editions is essentially the same except that Enterprise links to a MS-SQL database while Standard links to an Access database, and some entries in the server configuration file will be different, as explained later in the Server Configuration section of this document. If you ever need to change between the two editions, you will need to modify how the data is connected in the configuration file.
2.After the service has been loaded, you can change the service settings in the Services window in the Administrative Tools of Windows.  From here you can determine whether you want EPWeb to load automatically when windows starts or if you want to load it manually each time.

3.The service will be called EPWeb and will initialize as stopped. You will have to start it manually the first time or restart the machine to automatically start it.
4.When you uninstall the service, you will have to restart the machine to completely remove it.
