Designing a Floor Plan Layout with Objects

| 1. | Find the relevant event in the Event Maintenance screen and click on the Detail tab. |
| 2. | If there is more than one location associated with the event, click to highlight the location for which you want to design a floor plan. |
| 3. | Click the Images tab in the bottom section of the screen. If there are no images in the selection grid, see Adding Location Images to an Event above. |
| 4. | In the bottom grid, select the image upon which you want to design a floor plan layout. |
| 5. | Double click on the Image Code or click the Edit button located to the right. |
| 6. | The Image [Edit] window appears. |
| 7. | Click the Floor Plan Layout button in the bottom left corner of the Image [Edit] window. The Floor Plan Layout window appears. Your image, displayed on the left, will form the floor plan upon which you can add and arrange objects. |

| 8. | You will have to specify an Image Ratio in order to manipulate a floor plan layout. To review how to calculate pixels per foot see Determining Pixels per Foot above. |
| 9. | To display a grid on the floor plan, click the Show Grid button. To change the size of the grid, enter a different number in the Grid Size (feet) field. To remove the grid, click the Remove Grid button. |
| 10. | The upper right corner of the window displays a preview of Floor Plan Objects. Use the spin arrows to scroll through the list of available objects, or type the beginning of the object name in the field below the arrows. |
| 11. | You will only be able to choose from objects that you have previously entered into your database. To add more objects to the database, see Floor Plan Objects below. |
| a. | To add an object to the floor plan, find the object you want and double click in the floor plan image. The object will appear in the image below your mouse pointer. |
| b. | To move an object, hold your mouse pointer over the object so that the hand appears. Click and hold to “grab” the object and move it. Release the mouse button to drop it in place. |
| c. | To move an object in front of or behind other objects, place your mouse pointer over the object and right-click. Select Bring to Front or Send to Back. |
| d. | To rotate an object, click on the object and enter an angle in the Rotation field or use the spin arrows to select an angle. |
| e. | To remove an object, place your mouse over the object and right-click. Select Remove and the object will be erased from the floor plan layout. |

| 12. | When you are satisfied with your floor plan layout, click Save. When you click the Floor Plan Layout button again for this image in this event, you will return to this saved layout. |
| 13. | If you want to print the floor plan layout for setup staff, click the Print button. |
| 14. | Click Close to return to the Image [Edit] window. |
| 15. | Click Save in the Image [Edit] window to save your changes and close the window. |
