1.Click on the Company/Contact button to open the Company/Contact screen.
2.Choose the Company List View or Contact List View.
3.You can edit selected companies/contacts or all of the companies/contacts you see in the selection grid.
a.Select multiple companies/contacts by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking on the desired companies/contacts (a red dot will appear in the far left column of each selected record, and an arrow will appear next to the last-selected record).
b.Alternatively, you can limit the number of companies/contacts you see in the selection grid by setting a filter.  Refer to Introduction: Common Function, Setting a Filter for more information about filtering.
c.If you intend to edit all companies/contacts, you do not have to select or filter the records.
4.Click the Detail Options button to the right and select Multi-Edit. NOTE: If you multi-select companies/contacts and just click the normal Edit button, you will only edit the last-selected record.  Make sure you use Detail Options | Multi-Edit.

6.Make your changes to the fields as required, including adding or removing Classification information if necessary.  However, be cautious when changing distinctive fields, as these changes will overwrite the original values for all of the selected companies or contacts.
7.Click Save.
8.In the next dialog box, choose whether you want to apply the changes to Selected Companies or Contacts or All (Filtered) Companies or Contacts and click OK.  “All (Filtered)” refers to all of the records visible in the selection grid.  Therefore, if you set a filter so that only fifty of one hundred contacts are visible, those fifty represent “All” for the purpose of multi-editing.
