Export/Import Resource Items

The Resource Export/Import allows you to export resource items into an Microsoft Excel workbook, edit costs and prices for those items, and import the Excel workbook back into EventPro, which will update item cost and pricing information.

1.Choose whether you want to export resource items from the Setup, Staffing, Catering, Beverages or Miscellaneous tab.  Select the appropriate tab.
2.Select the sub-groups (Setup, Staffing, Miscellaneous) or categories (Catering, Beverages) you want to export. This will export all items in each selected sub-group/category.  Hold down the CTRL key and click on the subgroups/categories to select them.

3.Click the Export/Import button.
4.In the Export/Import dialog, select the Export radio button and click OK.

5.In the Export To dialog, choose where you want to save the Excel file, enter a File Name and click Save.

6.The resource items will be exported to an Excel workbook, with each selected sub-group or category as a separate worksheet.  Make your changes to the Excel worksheets as required and save.

Note that you cannot add new items and import them back into EventPro.  You can only make changes to the Cost, Price and Minimum Margin of existing items.

7.When you are ready to import the resource items back into EventPro, return to the correct tab in the Resource Item setup area, and click the Export/Import button.
8.In the Export/Import dialog, select the Import radio button and click OK.

9.In the Import From dialog, select the Excel file and click Open.

10.EventPro will work through the sub-groups/categories, importing the items and looking for changes in Costs, Prices and Minimum Margins.
