When you created your Location Rate codes, you could define the criteria under which the rates would be applied.  There were many options for criteria: Company Categories, Event Categories, Season, Days of the Week, Duration, Time and Attendance.  Review Step 7: Rate Codes, Location Rate Codes above. If you created many different rate codes, several of which could apply to the same event location, it may be confusing to determine in what order the rate codes will be applied.  Refer to the following guide for assistance.

EventPro will check these criteria in this order:

1.Company Categories 1, 2 and 3
2.Event Category and Sub-category
3.Event Season
4.Event Days
5.Event Time
6.Event Duration
7.Attendance

EventPro will look for a rate code that matches all of these criteria for the event.  If one of the rate codes matches all criteria, EventPro will use that rate code for the event. If not, EventPro will drop the last criterion on the list and start the search again.  So, for example, when searching a second time, EventPro will check these criteria in this order:

1.Company Categories 1, 2 and 3
2.Event Category and Sub-category
3.Event Season
4.Event Days
5.Event Time
6.Event Duration

EventPro will continue searching for a matching rate code, dropping one criterion each time until it is just checking for Company Category 1.
