Before you begin setting up EventPro, you may want to confer with other users to discuss standardization of data entry.  For example, you may want to discuss the following elements:

Capitalization: In general, determine whether you will capitalize all words in a phrase or just the first word, e.g. Special Event or Special event, Prime Rib Buffet or Prime rib buffet, Palm Tree or Palm tree.
Punctuation: In general, determine where to use commas, periods and dashes.
Item Codes and Descriptions: Determine a general format for item codes and descriptions, including the type of information you want appearing in reports.
Font: You choose the default font for Rich Text Comments in your System Settings.  See Chapter 1: Setting Up EventPro, Step 1: System Settings, General: Rich Text Comments Default Font. Determine when or whether you will use other fonts, bold, italics, underlining, etc.

Later, you may run reports such as Banquet Event Orders, Confirmation Sheets, etc., for your clients.   Standardizing the information in these reports will make them appear neater, better organized, and more professional.
