What's New: Improved Phone System

If you have called into EventPro Software lately, you may have noticed that our opening greeting sounds a little different. That’s because we have purchased a brand new phone system with the latest technology so that we can provide our customers with even better service. Press 1 for Sales, 2 for Support and 3 for payments, to schedule training and all other enquiries.
The new phone system will improve access to our Support Department. When you call in, press 2 for Support and then press 1 for General Enquiries or 2 for EventPro 6 Upgrades. Please provide your Company Name and User ID #, which is found by clicking Help | About in the program. If all of our Support lines are busy when you call in, you can leave a message without losing your place in line. Our new Desktop Messaging software ensures that the next available Support Representative will respond as quickly as possible.

Feature in Focus: New Enquiries Module

The Enquiries Module is just one of many amazing new features in EventPro 6 that will keep your business running smoothly and make your work much easier! It provides an easy and efficient way to track potential business. Use it to collect and store all of the relevant information about a potential customer and event, including the enquiry source, lead status, estimated value, probability and more. Record ongoing communications with the customer and set actions to remind you to stay in contact. When the prospective customer decides to book your facility, simply convert the enquiry into an actual booking that uses the pre-entered data.
However, the Enquiries Module does not only streamline data entry. It can also help you analyze the success of your sales and marketing departments. With your own customized Enquiry Sources and Status Codes, you can record where potential customers hear about your business and why they choose or do not choose your facility. For example, you can create detailed enquiry sources such as “Phone Call: Word of Mouth”, “Email: Convention Booth” or “Email: Website”. Later, use the information to determine which marketing campaigns generate the most interest and the most successful sales leads. With status codes, your leads are not limited to the standard “Hot”, “Warm” and “Lost”. Create informative status codes such as “Won – best selection” and “Lost – prices”. The data can later be collected into reports that pinpoint the strong and weak points in your sales process.
If you want to streamline your enquiries procedure, evaluate sales success and analyze marketing effectiveness at your facility, you need the EventPro Enquiries Module. For pricing and more information, email Sales.au@EventPro.net or call us at 02 9772 7777 and press 1 for Sales.
You can also learn more about the Enquiries Module in Chapter 8 of the new EventPro User Manual, which can be downloaded at http://www.eventprosoftware.com.au/manual.html.

Helpful Hint: Back Up Your Data

Hard drive crash, power outage, power surge, virus attacks, hackers, natural disaster, theft, human error – there are so many ways your company can lose critical data! Data loss can result in days of recovery time and lost productivity, and yet data backup is still one of the most neglected areas of computer maintenance.
How often should you back up your EventPro data files? Ask yourself how many days of data entry you are willing to lose. No more than one day? Then you should back up your data at least once a day. It does not have to be a time-consuming hassle. Once you have your backup schedule set and backup media arranged, it will become a brief, easy task in your daily routine. To learn more about setting a backup schedule, choosing backup media and selecting key files to back up, see http://www.eventprosoftware.com.au/backupdata.html.
